More Beading Adventures

This is something I wanted to try after reading Nancy Eha's book. It looked so cool to bead around cording. I may have made mine a bit long but it should work really well on this small quilt piece. Quilt size is 24" x 18 or so.

Green Beaded Dragon

Here is another Dragon I'm working on. I started this quite a while ago in January 2006; went like gangbusters then got a better idea for a LARGE blue Dragon in honor of Saphira the Dragon in Eragon. She is still on the drawing board as I work on the Ciruelo Dragon & the whimsical Dragon for the Orange Public Library Quilt. Egads Watson! there's giant flying lizards every where!

hmmmm. maybe an arora borealis one would be wonderful as a "shadow" behind the dark blue one????? aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh...... too many ideas.

better go water the lawn.

Latest work: Been working feverishly on this newest dragon. He is out of slate grey silk with organza for his wings. The celtic design is an orignial of mine and done using fusable bias tape. Background fabric is a hand dye that was a gift from a friend. When I get the person's name I'll update accordingly. The dragon image is care of Ciruelo who graciously allowed me permission to attempt to re-create in fabric his work from his book currently available titled "Dragon". Awesome book by the way.
